A Little Bit About Me
I’m a Morrinsville-based celebrant working across the Waikato, creating personalised ceremonies that honour life’s most meaningful moments.
Family is everything to me. I’m a proud mum to two sons in their 20s, stepmum to two amazing stepdaughters, and Nana to three gorgeous grandchildren aged 9, 6 and nearly 2. Life is busy, loud, and full of love—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’m also lucky to share life with my husband Stuart, and when we can, we love travelling together.
I’m very close with my wider family too. My parents and sister live here in Morrinsville, along with my brother-in-law, and while some of my nieces are local, others are spread across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. I also have a sister in the Coromandel, who has recently made me a very proud Great Aunty.
Originally from Northland, I moved to Morrinsville at 15 and now proudly call it home. After training as a teacher in Palmerston North and teaching in Whanganui, I spent four incredible years in the UK before returning to New Zealand to raise my family.
My journey to becoming a celebrant was shaped by both professional experience and personal loss. I spent 10 years as a funeral director in the Waikato, supporting families through loss and helping create meaningful, respectful funeral services. It’s work I truly loved and still feel deeply connected to.
Personal experiences have also played a big part in my path. In 2000, we lost my two-year-old niece to meningitis, and in 2003, our family experienced the sudden loss of a baby nephew. These moments reinforced for me the importance of thoughtful, well-organised funeral services and ceremonies that truly reflect a life and the people behind it.
Today, as a professional celebrant in Morrinsville, I work with families and couples across the Waikato—including Hamilton, Cambridge, Matamata, and surrounding areas—offering wedding ceremonies, funeral services, and baby naming ceremonies that are personal, relaxed, and meaningful.
I take the time to get to know you, understand your story, and create a ceremony that feels authentic and true to you. Whether you’re planning a wedding, organising a funeral, or celebrating a new arrival, my role is to guide you through the process and make it as easy and personal as possible.
Every ceremony I create is unique—because every person, every family, and every story is different.
If you’re looking for a Waikato celebrant who will listen, support you, and create a ceremony that truly reflects you, I’d love to be part of your journey.
